Sencit Music is a force in the music and sound design scene, delivering the beats behind award-winning trailers for movies like Inception, Oppenheimer, and Barbie. Their expansive sound library helps entertainment marketers build movie trailers and campaigns, but that’s only the start.

Over the years, Sencit has grown to offer a full-scope of services for entertainment marketers. When they partnered with me to develop a strong omni-channel voice, they were in the process of unveiling “the new era of Sencit.” They tasked me with creating a voice that evoked colloquial confidence while delivering maximum impact.

An integral part of Sencit’s new marketing strategy is a monthly newsletter. Leveraging their contact list of music supervisors and entertainment marketers, Sencit leverages this newsletter to keep their audience up to speed on the latest. The challenge: we needed to tread lightly and deliver high potency snippets devoid of spam.

Enter: “The Drop.” Entertainment marketers could look forward to a monthly download on the latest in music and sound design across all genres. Infusing Sencit’s new, quick-hitting voice, The Drop is all about the news you need and nothing that you don’t. I directed the messaging hierarchy of each email and executed copy. Here’s what that looked like…

Industry Interviews

Sencit’s Creative Director, Mike Zarin, wanted to launch a conversation series. He branded it as “Between Two Speakers,” a play on the satirical talk show “Between Two Ferns,” starring comedian Zach Galifianakis. The goal was to interview industry greats and feature that content in The Drop as another point of engagement. I transcribed each interview, edited the final interviews for clarity and brevity, and wrote teasers for each piece. Here’s how that translated across email and web….
